Myra's dance studies and experience have been wide and varied in Australia and overseas. After studying ballet for many years with Joanne Priest she began a 20 year exploration of the dance styles of Europe, the Balkans, Turkey, Central Asia and the Middle East, becoming an instructor in 1983.
As a result Myra has developed a passion for exotic rhythms; the lilting cadences of Macedonian, Bulgarian and Middle Eastern rhythms are amongst her favourites.
She started Belly Dancing in 1986 and has attended expert workshops and conferences in Australia and overseas with world renowned dancers: Yasmina (Cairo), Hadia (Canada), Jillina (USA), Beata and Horacio (Berlin), Raqia Hassan (Cairo), Soraya Hilal (UK), Leyla Jouvana (Germany) as well as talented Australian teachers.
She brings this wealth of experience and a sense of fun to her teaching and a commitment to making belly dancing a rich and rewarding experience for every student.
She has taught many students over the past 15 years in Adelaide, some of whom have gone on to be professional dancers or run their own studios. |

Danielle didn’t start dancing until the ripe old age of four and quickly mastered ballet, jazz, folk and contemporary dance.
She instantly fell in love with belly dance at her first lesson more than a decade ago. Since then she has constantly honed her skills and attended many interstate workshops with renowned Australian and international dancers. Danielle has been a professional dancer for several years. She also has a keen interest in teaching young people and runs fitness and dance workshops for them in the Adelaide and regional areas.
She is an extremely versatile and talented dancer, and moves with ease between classical Indian, flamenco, and hip hop styles. But Danielle considers belly dance the only form that celebrates our differences; it encourages the individual dancer to interpret the music and develop her own style.
Her classes are always energetic, entertaining and full of surprises. |

Karinishka lives in the Adelaide Hills and is enthusiastic about sharing her passion for belly dance.
In keeping with the folk origins of the dance she believes it is most vibrant when performed at a grass-roots level. She is delighted to appear regularly at community events and nursing homes as well as at private functions.
Karinishka began belly dancing in the 1980s and has performed as a soloist for several years. Her vibrant cabaret performances reflect the colour and emotion of the Middle-East, encompassing a range of dance styles from the region.

"To dance is the ultimate freedom; to be one with yourself, the earth, the air, the rhythm... From an early age Claire has loved to dance, instantly drawn to and in love with belly dance after her first taste in 2001. Experiencing the beauty of people from all ages and all walks of life, free to be themselves and sharing a love of dance is what she lives for.
Claire has been performing since 2005 as a member of tribal troupes and as a soloist since 2007. She has attended workshops with established dancers from around Australia and abroad. At ease dancing various styles of belly dance, just as she is to use a wide variety of props such as veil, cane, sword, Voi and fire, Claire will inspire you to try something new.
An advocate for individuality, self expression and self awareness; Claire's calm and inviting nature will encourage you to be yourself and to reach for your own goals, enabling each dancer to feel pride in their own achievements and to overcome fears."

Solanges’ background began with classical/cabaret style of Middle Eastern dance, its variations and some Tribal study, initially with Myra Principle and Creative Director of Belly Dance Amethyst.
Solange also attended classes with Hanan Aboud, who has complete knowledge, of authentic Lebanese styles of Belly Dance.
A continuation and exploration of ATS, Tribal/World and Tribal fusion followed.
This “Tribal” style of Belly Dance is Solanges’ true passion.
She is experienced in performance with large “Tribes” to smaller groups, and has been the choreographer and director of an established tribe and performance group, for 3 years.
Solange has attended many workshops dedicated to ATS and all Tribal style off shoots & will continue to learn and explore this genre of dance.
The core fundamentals of ATS as a base, layering and incorporating variations of Tribal, has led Solange to develop her own additional exciting and dynamic Tribal moves known as Babylonia Tribal Format.
This tribal format opens up the Tribal vocabulary to enable more creative freedom and complexity, while still capturing the basic rules and principles. With this approach, the connection between students in class and at performance events makes the total dance experience, BIG FUN.
