BEGINNERS Nari Nari - Belly Dance with a hint of Bollywood
This choreography covers the fundamentals of belly dance spiced up with some cheeky Bollywood gestures.
BELLY FIT
Join Danni for this fun filled hour of nonstop fitness and muscle strengthening workout. No choreography taught. Combinations are repeated until everyone can follow easily. It is suitable for all levels of dance ability. Bring along hand weights.
INTERMEDIATE Techno Belly Dance – A cheeky choreography to a funky tune, with plenty of pops, locks, and attitude! Consolidating the fundamentals learned in beginners and adding new moves to your Belly Dance repertoire.
INTERMEDIATE Monday 8pm Como Tu – Fan veils
A dynamic choreography by Jrisi Jusakos © Hathor Dance Studio, NSW. Combinations are repeated within the choreography, suitable for all levels, including those who haven't picked up some fan veils before. PROGRESSIVE INTERMEDIATE Malaguena Moods – Tribal/Flamenco Fusion; Swish, Stamp, and twirl!
Learn the “jelly fish” “the wrap” “the cold shoulder” and lots more! This choreography is jam packed blending Belly Dance, Tribal, and Flamenco moves and postures danced to a beautiful medley of songs. ADVANCED ORIENTAL FUSION BELLY DANCE SWORD Pandora’s Torment – Intense, inspiring, epic!
This choreography has it all! It’s slow, slinky, sinuous and sometimes warrior like using a sword to its most dramatic advantages as well as your normal balances. You will learn some handy tips on how to balance a sword safely, elegantly and easily. Sword is great for improving your posture and body isolation!

BEGINNERS TRIBAL BASICS
Solange & Julie Love the Tribal style of belly dance, but don’t know where to start? Would you like to be fluent in the Tribal basic moves? Forgotten the basics & would like to drill & re connect with these moves? Friday night Tribal basics will be the place to start your exploration of this form of dance. Over the term you will learn the basic fundamentals of slow & fast moves. Students will have the opportunity to have a slower paced class to absorb & drill, from a beginners syllabus. Introduction to Zils during warm up, will also allow students to slowly build confidence with props. Join Solange & Julie in a safe, supportive & fun atmosphere, when starting your exploration of Tribal Belly Dance...
About Julie, Julie has enjoyed participating as a student & studio troupe member of Belly Dance for 6 years. The styles of dance Julie has studied includes Classical, Cabaret & of course Tribal style Belly Dance. An avid participant of workshops to further her dance repertoire & knowledge, especially in the A T S & Tribal Fusion styles in their many forms. Julie has also attained her General Skills Certification in the Fat Chance Belly Dance American Tribal Style Format. With a relaxed & approachable style to Julie’s teaching, students will find the classes informative & enjoyable
INTERMEDIATE BABYLONIA TRIBAL FORMAT
Join Solange, in a class that captures, drilling, layering, building on existing moves & chorus line improvisational skills, utilising the Babylonia Tribal Format This term will focus on the “fast” tribal moves, culminating @ end of term with an improvisational performance piece, engaging & dancing with fellow students. Be prepared to swish, spin & shake it!!! All in a supportive & fun atmosphere 2 terms of Tribal Beginners Class an advantage/requirement.
ADVANCE TRIBAL BABYLONIA TRIBAL FORMAT Opium
Term 2 will focus on the unique moves that “Join & Engage” from the Babylonia Tribal Format. This semi improvised piece, will challenge & capture the imagination & possibilities these moves offer; working in pairs, trios & more, with formations & total synchronicity within the group. Embrace the dream like quality of slow & sinuous moves, with the contrast of beat hitting, hip shaking fast moves. This dance is all about you & you dancing within a tribe.
